Continuous Improvement Engineer

Belcan has a job for a Continuous Improvement Engineer in Dayton, Ohio for a manufacturing client. The individual will plan and implement continuous improvement activities at the site improving safety, quality, delivery and cost.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with cross-functional teams to recommend and implement process improvement plans
Lead improvement projects using lean six sigma methodology to deliver measureable and timely results
Track and report on financial and non-financial benefits from improvement projects
Evaluate current and new capital equipment required for product and process development, production, and continuous improvement
Promote the culture of continuous improvement in the organization. Identify and promote best practices in the site. Coach others on how to use Lean tools and techniques such as 5S and PDCA.
Support Quality Manager with corrective action and preventive action responses and verifications
Actively participates in the development and execution of continuous improvement strategy
Implement methods suitable for Site Development activities and communicate with management and internal departments to resolve escalated issues
Determine and eliminates root causes and diminish defect occurrences or quality incidents in the process
Conduct advanced data analysis using Minitab or similar applications to establish root causes and provide meaningful insights
Perform capability studies and statistical analysis using methods such as FMEA, GR&R, SPC, and SQC
Transfer best practices, techniques, procedures and tools to peers and other process improvement teams
Plans the use of equipment and personnel to meet requirements, including department guidelines, layout and improvement
Recommend procedures for facility or equipment maintenance or modification, including the replacement of machines
Handle confidential information with care and adherence to Code of Conduct as applicable to job functions
REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field and four plus years of operations related experience is required.
Experience applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodology standards is required.
Prior experience within a chemical production or a manufacturing facility is required.
Must demonstrate an attention to detail and have the ability to manage projects, schedule and prioritize effectively as well as process orientation and organizational skills.
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and leadership ability; exhibit a high level of motivation and initiative. Proficiency in MS Office and statistical software is required
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Must be willing to ask for clarification or assistance when needed.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
Ability to effectively communicate (orally and in writing) with all levels within the organization. Excellent interpersonal skills required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
