Summary:
The IT Infrastructure Support role is to ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network. This person will analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required.
This person will also cooperate with other IT personnel in the Americas, maintain and support servers and applications in the JE Vandalia Infrastructure, adapt and implement new technologies (Hardware, Software, and Procedures) from Corporate, JE Americas and local leadership with the purpose of maintain standardization in configurations.
Assembly and maintenance of computers and printers configuration. Knowledge of AD (Active Director), DHCP (Dynamict Host Configuration Control) and cabling.
Provide assistance with telephones and mobile phones, installing and configurating programs.
This role is to ensure proper computer operation so that end user can accomplish business tasks.
This include receiving, prioritizing, documenting and actively resolving end user help requests and escalating incidents when considered appropiate.
Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools, as well as require that the individual give in-person, hands-on help at the desktop level. .

Ensuring proper functioning of servers, AD, DHCP. Perform system backups and recovery.
Network - Provide access to new users. Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, access rights.
Provide technical assistance to employees. Provide installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software and peripheral devices.
Manage all local network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, and UPSs.
Maintain Vandalia telephone systems and/or work with phone technical consultants.
Provide and install telephone and cellphone to new employees.
Provide maintenance and assistance with PABX (Private Automatic Branch Exchange).
Support the server and storage infrastructure for Vandalia.
Implement new technology from Corporate and JE Americas
Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, definitions are to date. Perform preventing maintemance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals. Test fixes to ensure problem has been adequate resolved.
Maintain network printers and assist with copier connections to network. Support conference room technologies: Maintain network printers and assist with copier connections to network. Qualifications
Qualifications:
User support, knowledge of Windows and Office.
Ability to design, modify, troubleshoot and optimize LAN, including knowledge of Ethernet networks using TCP/IP including DHCP, DNS, configuring LAN switches, and ability to configure and maintain 802.11 wireless networks and devices.
Basic understanding of WAN technologies.
Knowledge of Windows server operating systems including Windows 2003 and 2008, both 32- and 64-bit, including familiarity with backup operations for Windows servers (knowledge of CA Arcserve a plus), ability to maintain iSCSI storage systems, familiarity with use of VMWare for virtualization of Windows servers, and ability to maintain Windows Group Policies for configuring users and computers.
1-2 years of experience
IT Tech, Computer Science, or Associate Degree.
