Groundskeeper - March through October (Vandalia)
compensation: Compensation and salary to be commensurate with Experience.
Position
Summary:
Looking for applicants who enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions, doing physical work, able to lift/carry 50 pounds. Must be at least 18 years old, dependable, and able to safely work with equipment. Candidate should have basic understanding of landscaping. Previous experience preferred. Drivers License required. We are looking to add a passionate creative groundskeeper to maintaining a high quality landscape.
Grounds Keeper will be responsible for all of the day-to-day landscape maintenance. In addition to performing the landscaping duties,the groundskeeper will participate with; plan and design of landscaping activities; insure work is accomplished according to plan and on schedule; troubleshoot problem areas of grounds maintenance; inventory tools, supplies, and equipment; estimate cost/expenditure; and insure safety practices are followed at all times. Other duties may be added if needed.
Position
Responsibilities:
Execute all phases and components of Lawn Care landscape maintenance. Ensure that all work is completed on schedule. Identify and implement corrections requested as needed to maintain job quality and customer satisfaction. Complete a daily work log and submit weekly for review by Property Manager.
Ensure Safety of the employees and residents are the first priority at all times. Report all work place accidents immediately and properly. Evaluate all necessary equipment to make sure they are maintained and kept in working order. Report all deficiencies in equipment and material immediately to the Property Manager. Follow up on all requests. Must be able to maintain grounds in excellent condition.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
1. Skilled in use and operation of all landscaping equipment
2. Ability to operate all landscaping equipment in a safe manner
3. Physically able to perform all duties (lifting, walking, bending, driving, etc.)
4. Ohio Applicators license a plus
5. Clean Drivers License
6. Experience as a groundskeeper or in the landscaping field
Company Policy and Procedures
9:00 A.M. Start - 40 hour work week m-f Seasonal work every March through October. Over Time (Based on needs of the property) may be required at times.
Vacation and off days must be requested and confirmed in advance.
Compensation and salary to be commensurate with Experience.
