An international manufacturing company specializing in machine-tool technology is looking for a Field Service Engineer based in Dayton, OH.
The ideal candidate will have a maintenance background and will be able to provide field service support 90% precent of the time.
This position is direct hire and full-time with an excellent benefits package.
Field Service Engineer
Responsibilities:
Travel to customer locations to identity any technical problems and perform on-site repairOffer installation and maintenance support for machine tool equipment, metal cutting/forming equipment and CNCRead mechanical drawings and blueprints to resolve issues and complete repairsDocument and report any issuesCross-train on mechanical, electrical and electronic maintenanceAttend seminars and conferencesProvide top customer service and training to clients/customersShow attention to detailField Service Engineer
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in engineering preferred, or a 2-year technical degree.
Relevant experience will also be considered.
Minimum of four years of maintenance or related experience required (such as Industrial, Manufacturing, Metal Fabrication, or Automotive)Able to use dial indicators, micrometers, voltmeters, and calipers or other kinds of measurement equipmentShould be located in proximity to an airport (within an hour commute)Able to travel nationwide 90% of the time for projects, including some overnight.
Travel would be Monday through Friday.
Must have a mechanical, electronics and electrical experienceFamiliarity with CNC (preferably Fanuc) and machine tool equipment is requiredFamiliarity with hydraulics and pneumatics systems is preferredThis position is in a manufacturing work environment.
While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear.
You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
