Inventory Control Manager

At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Control Manager to join the Legrand Team in Union, OH.
Analyze and coordinate the inventory control functions of the distribution center for raw materials and finish good storage.
Manage inventory accuracy at a level to avoid physical inventory events.
Oversee the maintenance of various warehouse systems, including SAP, PKMS, etc.
Main Job Duties:

Manages the flow, processes, and accuracy of inventory within the distribution center.

Reports and analyzes information related to inventory management and control.

Oversees the cycle count program and inventory audit processes.

Manages RCCA program to determine inventory failures and preventative actions.

Monitors inventory team to determine how to drive higher accuracy and productivity within team
Collaborates with inbound and outbound operations team to plan, manage, and maximize inventory functions.

Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track success and/or recurring problems.

Foster a safety first culture through associate awareness, training, and accountability.

Directly manages Inventory Supervisor, Inventory Analyst and other hourly/salaried employees.

Evaluates technology applications that help drive improvement in inventory accuracy.

Interface with Business Unit resources as needed to support inventory program; including finance, product management, purchasing, packaging designers.

Help drive compliance to LNCA packaging standards by vendors.

Manage physical inventory events as required.

Reviews overall team and individual performance and administers performance management actions as necessary.

Supports the coaching, training, and development of direct reports to ensure a cross-trained, motivated, agile, and high-performing team.

Assists in the interview, selection, and onboarding of new employees.

Collaborates with HR on employee performance and disciplinary issues, executing plans and actions as necessary.

Other duties as assigned Education:
A Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a focus in project management, logistics or transportation or equivalent education and experience.
Experience:
Three to five years experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment directing Inventory Control and Logistics.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Must have strong leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to supervise others.

Provide guidance, development and motivation to staff to achieve superior results and accomplish overall business objectives.

Requires strong organizational and time management skills and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.
Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment is a must.
Ability to manage multiple functional areas.

Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, organize and accomplish a diversified workload.

Must have knowledge and experience with various logistics and distribution management systems, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; PKMS and SAP preferred.

Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office; including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment.
Must foster open communication and support an environment of innovation and creative change.

Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
